How can we reinforce Island Gas’ rebranding efforts and translate them to social media to strengthen its brand promise of providing safe and high-quality products to its customers?
Island Gas has been a preferred independent marketer of high-quality industrial gasses and other petroleum products in the Philippines for over 40 years. So to strengthen its brand promise and legacy, Island Gas rebranded itself and opted to shift its social media strategy from focusing on sales and engagement to creating educational and value-adding content.

Delivering the rebranding
With a new logo and mascot design, a rebranding launch campaign is prepared for Island Gas’ Instagram and Facebook accounts. This is to introduce the brand’s new look to customers, create awareness and anticipation, and lay down the groundwork for the brand’s changes in strategy and messaging.
Shifting the message
To highlight the brand’s focus on safety and quality, Island Gas’ content for Facebook and Instagram shifted from the usual sales, memes, and engagement posts to educational content. This helps establish the 40-year legacy of Island Gas in the industry and its genuine care for customers by giving them daily guides and safety reminders.
Aligning the identity
The social media visual identity and persona of Island Gas also had to be realigned to be consistent with the logo, mascot, and messaging changes. The visual identity focused more on illustrations and bold colors to retain the brand’s fun and vibrant persona. At the same time, the informational contents are reinforced with more educating captions.
