A Better Sunday means always being in the pursuit of growth, JM reflected as he looked back on Sunday Studio’s 11-year journey.

At Sunday, every step forward is shaped by intention. Our journey has always been about more than projects delivered or goals achieved, it’s about the people, the craft, and the culture that make each day better than the last.

A Better Sunday is the philosophy that anchors us. It’s a reminder that progress doesn’t happen by chance.

As we mark our 11th year, we retrace the path of how each idea evolved into Better Work, how challenges refined Better Processes, and how collective success and collaboration strengthened Better Relationships

Building A Better Sunday

From its early days as a three-person creative agency, the Sunday team is no stranger to embracing growth. What began as a tight-knit team experimenting with ideas evolved into an empowered group that consistently pushes boundaries and takes on bigger challenges.

Because at the end of the day, growth is a deliberate choice—and it’s one we will always make. Here’s how the team experienced that growth firsthand, and what it taught them along the way.

Better Work

To strive for Better Work is to be endlessly curious. At Sunday, curiosity shows up in every creative project we aim to shape with intention.

For this year’s Go Big awardee, Yane, staying curious as he explores different visual approaches pushes his design thinking forward. He sees creativity as a momentum builder that keeps ideas moving and ensures the work never feels static.

This spirit is amplified by Sunday’s collaborative culture. With co-creation, we allow ourselves to exchange ideas and sharpen concepts through open dialogue. Claire reflected on how this synergy makes the process smoother, even shortening timelines because the workflow is already there. When collaboration is natural, creativity can move faster, and the solutions land stronger.

From a leadership lens, Better Work means keeping standards high while staying grounded in continuous learning. JM emphasized that improving the craft, staying aligned with trends, and embracing world-class benchmarks ensure that every project reflects growth—not just for clients, but for the team behind it.

Better Processes

Efficiency and smart workflows define how Sunday delivers excellence day after day. Better Processes keep tasks on track and allow the team to operate smoothly without sacrificing creativity or quality.

Over the past year, the team has adopted new technology and refined its processes to work smarter without losing the human touch. Our Sr. Art Director, Momo, incorporates AI into daily work, using it to accelerate photo edits, identify fonts, and explore design possibilities faster.

For finance and operations, processes were refined to improve accuracy and timing. Our Sr. Finance Officer, Aubrey, shared how aligning workflows gradually made transactions smoother, which benefits not just her role but the entire team.

Better Processes also define how Sunday collaborates internally and externally. It allows us to create clarity, remove redundancies, and make working together smooth and clear. In this way, process isn’t just operational, it’s the structure that empowers creativity and makes sure that every project flows seamlessly from start to finish.

Better Relationships

Relationships are at the heart of everything at Sunday. They are built on the principle that collective success matters more than individual wins, and that every interaction is an opportunity to connect and grow together.

One of our Account Managers, Lora, emphasizes that small but consistent efforts, such as asking questions, sharing interests, and recognizing one another, create a supportive and nurturing environment where everyone can thrive.

These moments of connection are closely tied to the team’s environment. Transitioning from fully WFH to building a shared office strengthened relationships and created a central space for interaction. Norvs, our Employee Experience Officer, noticed that having a dedicated space strengthened relationships and reinforced a sense of presence and ownership in every project.

Over the years, Sunday’s culture has grown more professional, yet we still carry that playful and curious energy where childhood joy coexists with purposeful creativity. And this unique strength translates directly into the Better Relationships we cultivate every day.

On Continuing the Pursuit of Better

A Better Sunday is about staying hungry for learning and continuously raising the bar in every creative endeavor, JM reiterated.

As Sunday enters another year, we continue to explore better ways to deliver human-centric experiences within the industry. For Claire, she notes how the interplay of brainstorming and chemistry strengthens processes and the impact of work delivered to clients and audiences.

Meanwhile, the team embraces emerging tools like AI to enhance efficiency and creativity, while staying radically human. Patch emphasizes that integrating technology is not about replacing people, but about empowering the team to focus on the uniquely human aspects of creativity and problem-solving.

A Better Sunday is a commitment, a deliberate choice to build something greater with every passing year. It’s shaped by co-creation that amplifies ideas, by craft that turns effort into quality output, and by harmony that binds our team and clients together in purpose.
As we look ahead, these pillars become our constant reminders of who we are and what inspires us to go big everyday, in every way.
